The Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education provides leadership on issues related to professional education, with primary focus on teacher education. WACTE promotes effective public policy regarding professional education, enhances and improves professional education programs at member institutions, and enhances the professional effectiveness of members.

WACTE/OACTE Explore "Creating a Shared Future"  

The American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE) has awarded a grant to the Washington and Oregon state chapters to strengthen our mutual impact in the Pacific Northwest. During the 2012 academic year, the two chapters began identifying diversity recruitment and curricular efforts throughout each state that yielded tangible results. A subsequent request was submitted to AACTE in May, 2012 to expand such work to include Montana.
